Terms of Use — Jamaica's Disaster Response & Monitoring System

Effective 17 May 2026. These terms apply to Jamaica's Disaster Response & Monitoring System (the “platform”), at drmsja.org, maintained by Wocom Limited.

1Acceptance

By accessing or using the platform you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2Information service only

The platform provides hazard, weather, dispatch and emergency information for general guidance. It is not a substitute for official advisories from the police, ODPEM, the Meteorological Service, the National Works Agency or any other authority, and it is not a replacement for calling the emergency services.

Stay safe. In any life-threatening emergency, call the emergency services first (Police 119, Fire & Ambulance 110). Always obey signs, signals, instructions and the directions of the authorities — regardless of what the platform shows.

3Accuracy & availability

Live sensor data, dispatch events, weather feeds and crowd-sourced reports may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate. The platform is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4Acceptable use

When using the platform you agree not to:

submit false, misleading or malicious hazard reports;
upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful or offensive;
attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape or gain unauthorised access to the service;
misuse the platform in any way that endangers others or breaks the law.

Reports are moderated and we may remove content or restrict access for misuse.

5User-submitted content

If you submit a report or photo, you confirm you have the right to share it and you grant the platform permission to display and distribute it as part of the public map and operations centre. Do not include sensitive personal information in reports.

6Operator accounts

Operator, administrator and field-reporter accounts are for authorised personnel only. Account holders are responsible for keeping their credentials secure and for activity under their account.

7Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wocom Limited and its partners are not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the platform or its information. You use the platform at your own discretion and risk.

8Third-party services

The platform displays map, routing, weather and hazard data from third-party providers. Those services are governed by their own terms, and the platform is not responsible for their content or availability.
